Bojonegoro - Pertagas Niaga (PTGN) as part of Pertamina's Gas Subholding synergizes with Pertamina EP Sukowati by supplying Compressed Natural Gas or CNG starting Friday (14/10). This CNG supply is to facilitate the need for a Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) as a power plant during the Turn Around Central Processing Area of the Mudi Sukowati Field in Bojonegoro, East Java. This activity is the first time Pertamina EP Sukowati has conducted this activity since its inception.

The CNG supplied by PTGN to EP Sukowati is sourced from PTGN's Mother Station in Blora, Central Java which is then delivered using a 40 feet GTM. Aminuddin, President Director of PT Pertagas Niaga said that this commercial activity was carried out in order to support the collaborative efforts of Pertamina's internal partners. "The total volume of CNG that will be supplied by PTGN is targeted to reach 15,431 MMBTU according to the contracted volume until the PEP Turn Around Central Processing activity is completed in early November 2022," Aminuddin added.

The use of CNG is a solution to meet the need for reliable clean energy for areas that have not yet been reached by gas pipeline infrastructure. Currently PTGN has supplied CNG in Java, South Sumatra, East Kalimantan and Bali with an average volume of 850,000 MMBTU/month. Utilization of natural gas as clean energy is also part of the effort to realize the distribution and independence of domestic energy.
