Supporting Decarbonisation Efforts, Agree to Sign MoU with Marriot International Group

Jakarta - Sub Holding Gas Pertamina continues its efforts to support decarbonization in Indonesia, this time through its affiliate PT Pertagas Niaga (PTGN), which has managed gas, CNG and LNG transactions since 2010.
This support was demonstrated by PTGN through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Marriot International Group on Tuesday (18/04) related to the supply, distribution and purchase of natural gas that will support the survival of the business of Marriott International Group which manages the hotel network in various cities and counties in Indonesia.
For many years, natural gas, compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquidated natural Gas (LNG) were only used for industrial needs. However, with the development of technology, now PTGN is able to provide cleaner and environmentally friendly energy for the business of hotels, restaurants, cafes, as well as small and medium-sized industries and the needs of households. and this becomes a form of real support PTGGN to the efforts of decarbonization and net zero emission (NZE) 2060 proposed by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.
PTGN President, Aminuddin said: “Earth gas, CNG and LNG are cleaner energy sources and play an important role in the transition phase from fossil energy to new renewable energy. This is not just an agreement between the two sides. This MoU is a real form of action by PTGN and Marriot International Group to create a cleaner and more sustainable environment through reduction of CO2 emissions.”
“PTGN is committed to supporting Marriot International Group’s business across Indonesia. Hopefully in the future there will be more and more hospitality business operators who follow this step so that the target of NZE 2060 Indonesia can be achieved together.
