Subholding Gas Initial LNG ISO Tank Supply for Hospitality in Bali

Badung - Pertamina's Gas Subholding through its affiliate PT Pertagas Niaga (PTGN) first distributes Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) via ISOTank trucks for the hotel industry on the island of Bali. On Thursday (14/07), Pertagas Niaga distributed LNG ISO Tank for the needs of the Conrad Hotel, Tanjung Benoa, Badung, Bali.

ISOTank transports LNG from PT Pertamina Gas Filling Station in Bontang, East Kalimantan with a volume of 700-800 MMBTU per month. The LNG is used by Hotel Conrad as fuel for kitchen needs and boilers for heating water and laundry.

"Bali is the focus of Pertagas Niaga's commercial area this year. We are very happy with the extraordinary response from the hotel, restaurant and cafe industry who are enthusiastic about utilizing Pertagas Niaga's CNG and LNG gas. Efficiency and availability of supply guarantees are important keys in this business, "said the President Director of Pertagas Niaga, Aminuddin, (14/07/2022)

Pertagas Niaga collaborates with PT Laras Ngarso Gede as partners in the transportation and operation of LNG distribution for the hotel industry in Bali. LNG ISOtank is the choice for industries with large volume requirements so that the delivery process is more efficient. LNG as part of the transition energy that is more environmentally friendly was also chosen to support Bali as an eco-friendly tourism ecosystem.

PTGN's commitment to the realization of distributing LNG to the Bali hotel industry has received full appreciation from PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas). "This is a good first step and we are very pleased to be able to optimize LNG for the hotel industry in Bali as a clean, efficient and environmentally friendly energy source," said Pertamina Gas Commercial Director, Kusdi Widodo.

As the first hotel in Indonesia to be supplied with LNG ISO Tank, it is a matter of pride for Conrad Hotel. “Conrad Bali is proud to be the first Hilton Hotel in Bali to abandon LPG and switch to LNG. Several proven benefits, such as high levels of efficiency with low emissions, are the reasons we do not hesitate to be part of this eco-friendly initiative,” said GM Conrad Bali, Kevin Girad.

Especially for the hotel, restaurant and café industry in Bali, PTGN is optimistic that it will be able to supply gas of 12,000 MMBTU per month, supplied from CNG in East Java and LNG from Kalimantan. This volume is predicted to increase significantly with improving conditions after the COVID-19 pandemic and awareness of using energy that is more environmentally friendly. Alternative CNG and LNG for consumers whose areas are not yet connected to a gas pipeline network.
